Divine timing

Hey, fellows, I feel something is not right...

God of Israel is there in the history of planet Earth way before man was created. He wanted to show to Adam how one of the earliest birds looked like and created a divine lithography for that purpose. The fabulous feather was found in 1860 i.e. one year after the publication of Origin of Species by Charles Darwin.

Talk about timing!

During the last two hundred years scientists have painstakingly gathered and analysed evidence about life on Earth in complex geological formations. From the fossil records we now have a kind of Week of Creation that is somewhat more complex than the one written in the first chapter of the Bible over 2500 years ago. But the idea is the same - divine timing.

We do not talk about days of creation using God's calendars.

We talk about lunar and solar years and measure time by them. For us, planet Earth is about 4500 million years old and was made at the same time as sun and the rest of the solar system.

Life is old and man is new!
The records indicate a wonderful history of life on this planet of ours. We really should pay more attention to the ancients. Even that fly that you so casually kill - did you know that it has been bothering Tyrannosaurus Rex in the Jurassic period over hundred million human years ago. According to best estimates our species is just about five million years old.

Also the honey bee, crocodile, feared and persecuted shark, and the lovely wise tortoise have been here from Mesozoic long before humans existed. Not to speak of Devonian fish and Jurassic birds.

Man, respect life and do not wantonly kill even a cockroach. The nasty little thing has been given smarter brains than your computer's CPU!

We appear to be the last mammal species to appear on earth - as the Bible tells - creations of the sixth day and we have multiplied plenty and conquered the world as its unchallenged rulers as God told us to do.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

End of the era of dinosaurs

According to our current knowledge and theories the era of the dinosaur came to an end with a massive missile from the sky. About 80 million human years ago an asteroid hit what we call the Mexican Gulf near Yucatan peninsula causing such an explosion that the sun was hidden behind a thick cloud of smoke and dust for many years. Large dinosaurs did not survive and the cenozoic era of mammals ruling the Earth began.

Modern science suggests that the ruling species, dinosaurs, were destroyed by the hit of the asteroid and the following long dark winter.

The theory suggested by astronomers directed the minds of Carl Sagan (1934-1996) and other cosmologists to consider the possibility of a nuclear winter upon earth. And to our horror they calculated that it is a possibility. If there is World War three and intercontinental ballistic missiles are released from those silos the explosions can create similar condition as that big rock long ago and others like it. A "nuclear winter" that may destroy life upon earth is an uncomfortably real possibility.

We should not use the word "extinction of dinosaurs" since they did not disappear altogether. On the contrary, according to a scientific theory birds are descendants of dinosaurs.

Lizards certainly survived as every varan can prove to us. The difference between a dinosaur and lizard is that the legs of lizards extent sideways from their body while dino legs are under their body. (Thus calling Archaeopteryx a "lizard bird" is a conceptual error)

However, about 80 million human years ago life changed upon earth and mammals became the dominant species.

You may say that such is life - by chance a big rock hit this planet and things changed. Kind of car accident - blind fate at work.

Personally I disagree with those who think goddess Fortuna or blind fate is the guiding force in the universe. I cannot prove it but still I do believe that God or Israel is at work here changing the painting of life like a great artist. He decided to wipe out one part of the painting under work and placed something else there instead.

You cannot blame Him for not giving dinosaurs enough time to enjoy life - according to our calculations these wonderful animals ruled this planet for over two hundred million years. Our God must have had great time with them considering that we humans have been around only a fraction of that time, about five million years.



But from where the rock?

According to recent estimations the rock that changed life on this planet started its long trajectory about 160 million human years ago from the Kuiper belt.

Well.

This is divine timing.

Let the right size of rock begin its long trip 80 million years before it hits its target.

Call it long term planning.


Message to us humans
The story of this asteroid, and others like it, when seen with the eyes of faith should bring some awe to our minds. We really cannot comprehend the depth of God's wisdom, foresight and care for His creation.

Carl Sagan and others have learned from the scientific evidence a most important fact for all human race - releasing those missiles for MAD, mutually assured destruction, will not only destroy Moscow and Washington but also the rest of life on earth together with them.

But most importantly.

The asteroid that finished dinos rule on earth was a planned event.

Things are in His hands.

No rock will hit planet earth without His permission.

He even put the mighty Jupiter on orbit so that it will suck to its deep freeze most of those dangerous missiles flying around and threatening us here on Earth.

What a God we have!

The prophets of the Bible do not use the word great artist and had no idea about dinosaurs or Mesozoic era or that our God decided to change life on this planet and using a big rock for the job.

But they certainly knew Him:

To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
